PYP 4 children have started working towards their new Unit of Inquiry which central's idea is

PEOPLE CAN COMMUNICATE TO A VARIETY OF AUDIENCES THROUGH SPEAKING AND WRITING 

Lines of Inquiry :

Oral and written communication;

Different genres and their purposes;

Changes in written and oral communication

Key Concepts:

Change: How the way you communicate changes according to the audience?

Perspective: How can we decide the best way to communicate to different audiences?

In this brand new beginning, we have started off writing informal letters. Children have learnt the parts of a letter and are writing their own. This week they'll write to pen pals from a school in Australia...we'll keep you posted!

 

Also this week: children are going to Tomie Ohtake Institute on March 28th (Pinheiros Campus) and March 29th (Jardim Europa Campus), please don't forget to send the authorisation and money if you haven't already done so!

Homework this week is about Unit: children will interview grandparents about communication in the past. Click here to see it .
