Welcome Back!
We hope everyone enjoyed their holiday!
PYP 4 started their new Drama unit on PUPPETS in style by receiving a professional puppeteer in school, Luara Bolandini. She shared with students her experience with plays involving puppets and how
this differs from normal acting. She also demonstrated some specific techniques.
She showed us different types of puppets and how to manipulate them. Then it was time for children to try manipulating puppets themselves.
Next week students will create their own sock puppets and put their learning into practice.
"We will need to use our imagination to bring life to the our own hand made puppets" said Luis Felipe Schahin, PYP 4 Beta student.
Laura is currently in a play called "Lua de Chocolate" at teatro Alfa, and children were able to manipulate the puppets of this production!
If you want to see the puppets in action, you can find more information about the play in http://www.teatroalfa.com.br/espetaculos/LUA-DE-CHOCOLATE.
